Meet The Inventor of KenKen,

Tetsuya Miyamoto

Innovative math educator, Tetsuya Miyamoto, created KenKen so students could truly experience the joy and fun in learning. His method is straightforward: students spend 90 minutes every week solving puzzles on their own. They quickly learn that perseverance, out-of-the-box thinking and problem solving skills are keys to success!

Miyamoto admits students to his class solely on a first-come, first-serve basis. All students are welcome regardless of their ability. Parents of Miyamoto’s students know he gets results. Around 80% of the children who attend his weekly classes are later accepted into some of Japan's most exclusive schools. Furthermore, Miyamoto’s students routinely dominate Japan’s “Math Olympics," the country’s top mathematics competition for students ages 11 to 15. Lastly, Miyamoto is a much-in-demand lecturer, known for his incredibly successful education philosophy, “The Art of Teaching Without Teaching.”
